Great Lakes AOC Program Coordinator
The Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Water Resources Management Specialist - Senior (Great Lakes AOC Program Coordinator) in the Division of Environmental Management. This position will be stationed in Green Bay (Brown County).

**Position Summary:** This position will serve as the Area of Concern (AOC) Program Coordinator for the DNR Office of Great Waters (OGW). The position will lead implementation of efforts or projects identified in AOC Remedial Action Plans in the Lower Green Bay and Fox River AOC and assist with delisting activities in the Lower Menominee River AOC. The position will be responsible for developing a Beneficial Use Impairments (BUI) Delisting Strategy for these AOC's based on the BUI delisting targets. The position will also update remedial action plans, plan BUI assessments, coordinate with AOC stakeholders, and participate in projects that address Beneficial Use Impairments related to contaminant remediation, eutrophication, habitat restoration, and other designated BUI's.

**Qualifications:**
Minimally qualified candidates will have experience, education and/or training in:
* Developing and implementing environmental monitoring plans for factors such as water quality, habitat, sediment contamination and/or fish and wildlife populations
* Developing water quality, habitat or fish and/or wildlife improvement projects in water, wetlands or terrestrial ecosystems
* Writing technical papers
Well-qualified candidates will have:
* Degree in water resources, environmental management, ecology, biology, aquatic biology, chemistry, water chemistry, geology, or related field
* Experience developing quality assurance plans, especially if they involved collection, handling and laboratory analysis of water quality, sediment, fish and/or wildlife contaminants
* Experience leading implementation of water quality, habitat or fish and wildlife improvement projects in water, wetlands or terrestrial ecosystems
* Experience leading or facilitating group planning processes

*Salary:* Starting pay is between $49,920 and $62,400 annually ($24.00 - $30.00 per hour). Pay on appointment for current or former state employees based on the State Compensation Plan. This position is in Pay Schedule/Range 15-03. A 12-month probationary period is required.
