Department of Corrections, Division of Adult Institutions, Green Bay Correctional Institution(Brown County), is looking to fill a **Masonry Instructor**position.

This position provides classroom and shop instruction to adult students in Masonry, construction, blueprint reading within a competency based open entry, open exit format. Instructor is responsible for student classroom and shop behavior and Institution Tool Control Policies and Procedures. The Mason Instructor provides competency based masonry and brick laying instruction to the standards of the technical college system and the Wisconsin Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations for masonry apprentices. This position will evaluate and report student completions, achievement, scores and will also participate in institutional, departmental, and extra-curricular activities.
**Special Notes:**
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
**Candidate must be certified or be certifiable as a Bricklayer/Masonry Instructor, Technical Diploma or Journey worker Card, program area 30-408-1 by the Wisconsin Technical College System and must have 2 years (4000 hours) related work experience.**
**Qualifications:**
Along with the criteria listed in the Special Notes, minimally qualified applicants will have education/training or experience in the following areas:
* Masonry blueprint reading, drafting and symbols
* Instructional methods, learning patterns and student motivation
* Demonstrating proper techniques, practices, methods
